WhatAComicShow is the comic book themed cafe with Wonder woman, Marvel heroes, the high school favourites – Archie and Jughead and more; also housing a fair share of comic books splurged around. Serving Chinese fare in their initial days, they have now branched out to be a multi-cuisine cafe with Italian, Continental, and also a bar.
Their bar menu will surely want you to choose your allegiance to your favourite superhero. They have straight up beers and wines and house, beer and wine cocktails. We ordered for Ironman’s Electromagnet – Worcestershire sauce, Tobasco, black pepper and beer, a spicy concoction and Elektra – orange peel, ginger and wine. Both the drinks looked extremely tropical, however, did not quite impress with the flavours.
Vegetable spring rolls – noodles, shredded carrots, onions and capsicum, rolled in spring roll sheets and crunchy fried. Served with chilly sauce, these were very street like. Chicken Momos – huge dumplings, stuffed with chicken infused with green chillies, steamed. These juicy dumplings greatly reminded me of the juice squirting ones from Chanakyapuri.
Chicken Arabiata pasta – al dente pasta, chunky tomato sauce, a dash of parmesan, cut olives, basil leaves and lightly toasted bread. Again, a very University cafe dish, the pasta was quite satiating intermingled with crushed black pepper.
WhatAComicShow is slightly expensive than your average college cafe, considering their menu is much like those. Visit this cafe for their Asian fare and your love for comic books.
