The Kosi Deck is the restaurant inside the Riverview Resort in Dhikuli, Jim Corbett. The National park is one of the largest tiger reserves in North India. Sir Jim Corbett’s family were prominent in the social upliftment of hill station of Nainital after they settled there. Sir Jim Corbett killed many leopards and tigers, which were classified as man-eaters. And in the 1950s, Ramganga National Park was re-named after him.
A short drive from Delhi, there is plenty to do in Jim Corbett including the jungle safari, river sports and other adventure sports. The National park spans over 1000 square kilometer area. And Dhikuli is located at one end near Ramnagar and Haldwani. There are plenty of resorts here and the drives deep into the forest among the hills.
The Kosi Deck
Located inside The Riverview Resort, it is one of the very few restaurants on the Kosi river. There is also a direct entry to the riverside from the restaurant. Needless to say that the whole place is something out of a painting.
With horses grazing, lush green hillocks in your reach and the Kosi river flowing serenly – the ambiance is bewitchingly peaceful. You can step down from the wooden deck and walk up to the river, soak in some sunlight, dip your feet and feast your eyes with the natural scenic beauty.
But of course, the USP of the Kosi deck is the deck itself. Make sure you make a reservation and pick a table at the edge for the best views.

Eating at kosi deck
Equipped with a fully decked bar, wood-fired brick oven pizzas and traditional Kumaon food – the options at The Kosi Deck are plenty. The restaurant doesn’t shut down after lunch but the menu gets limited to snacks and continental fare. Stick to the classic cocktails and don’t overcomplicate it. The Kumaon and local food is a must have.
The serve it like platter meals complete with condiments, and sides and suffices for 1 person. The home style chicken curry is hearty and comes with a very addictive bhaang ki chutney. Bhaang ki chutney is a classic from Utarakhand (try it at Cafe Lota in Delhi!) Malai gosht with crispy fried bitter gourd is is creamy and mellow and equally tasty.
Don’t miss out this stunning riverside restaurant whenever you are in Ramnagar or lazying around Corbett. The food and views make it into a perfect place to pause and slow down.
