Nawab Dera is a new venture delivering to you the beautifully crafted food of Nawab’s. Their menu is made of the everyday fancies of tikkas, curries and biryanis and I got a chance to sample some of their best dishes starting with some tikkas, curries, a well done biryani and breads.
Starting with Tandoori chicken and Haryali chicken tikka. The tandoori chicken was a nice whip, well marinated and grilled to perfection.
The Haryali chicken tikka was very palatable – succulent and juicy, the chicken tikka was nicely lined and marinated with greens and well grilled.
Coming to the chicken dum biryani – it was simply delightful – aromatic, laced with whole spices and full bodied flavors, the rice and meat intertwined and topped with brown onions adding a sweet, crunchy zest to the whole ensemble.
The dal makhni again, was delectable – creamy and packing a full gusto.
Coming to the mutton rarra – the keema laden gravy was simply luscious, very tantalizing. However, the meat pieces were a little too tough for my taste. Tender meat in that gravy and you have a jackpot!
The breads were pretty nicely done as well – butter naan and green chilly parantha. The green chilly parantha was deliciously devoured with chilly pieces, just the right amount of hot.
So, next time you want to order in some Mughlai yumminess, do try Nawab dera for their savory gravies, Haryali chicken tikka and murgh dum biryani.
