Karim's or Al Jawahar, what's your pick?

I have grown up seeing Karim’s outlets opening and shutting down in the neighborhood and with innumerable stories revolving on how they are all fake and yet, another one coming up near you. There was also a story that went something like, “There is a sign in front of the real Karim’s that says they don’t have any branches”. Funnily enough, that didn’t turn out true at all when I visited them.
As for  Al Jawahar, I had read about it on different blogs as more of an understated place that actually serves better curries than Karim’s.
