Drifter’s Cafe was one of the very first food trucks I saw around Sector 29 and indeed the very first on my wishlist. They have made a niche for themselves with their Asian meal boxes and steamed classic dimsums. The menu is very crisp with a couple of appetizers and selection of mains.
We started with their classic chicken dimsums – thin skinned stuffed with fresh chicken, these were quite an authentic batch. But what stood out were the sauces it was served with, the chilly one, nice and hot with a profound garlic zest. And the other one was a mix of spring onion with a bit of olive oil and was particularly refreshing.
Popiah Thord – Thai spring rolls. Crispy spring roll sheets stuffed with fresh vegetables and a lingering flavor of lemon grass, served with a slightly sweet dip. Very appetizing.
Chilli Thai chickenmeal box with noodles – steamed, tossed noodles with a Thai gravy cooked with jaggery and peanuts. The quantity is huge and the flavors subtly make a difference to your palette.
Wash down these Asian delicacies with lemongrass mojito.
What not to miss here? Popiah Thord is a delectable and light spring roll preparation.
