Chef’s Kitchen located at Sohna Road is a quick bites/ delivery outlet satiating your kebab cravings and bringing to you a range of interesting curries. What started out as a delivery only outlet, Chef’s Kitchen has also grown out to an outdoor catering service now.
Starting with their kebab sampler – mutton seekh, tandoori chicken and chicken malai tikka – all three were juicy, fresh and succulent to the core. The mutton seekh unlike a lot of places was made to a soft and tender delicacy. Both the chicken appetizers were well marinated and very toothsome.
Moving on to the main course – dal makhni, chicken bhuna masala and paneer dhania adraki with laccha parantha, garlic naan and complete with onions and raita.
The chicken bhuna masala was a flavorsome, high on spices, very palatable mix intermingling into the well marinated chicken pieces. The hint of methi made it stand out from the regular butter chicken scene.
The paneer dhania adraki again was an unusual selection from the mainstream choices – a simple gravy made to a creamy texture with soft pieces of paneer. Dal makhni was what stole the show – a rich, thick, creamy preparation cooked to just the right consistency – the dal creamy enough to give it a luscious texture and yet I could feel the wholesomeness of the lentils. The breads were both nicely done – the laccha parantha could obviously take the weight of the distance more than the garlic naan which went a little stretchy by the time it was delivered.
Their kebabs and tikkas and ofcourse the piquant dal makhni are a must have.
