Transcend into a parallel breakfast and brace yourself for a classy piece of breakfast. The place is gorgeously done with minimal lighting, textured walls, parallel lines and a jaunty shade of yellow that is sure to pep you up when you walk in. The huge French windows and greens add a lot of life to the place and makes for an ideal Brunch date place.
They have recently launched a breakfast menu – crisp, coffee shenanigans, breakfast platters, sandwiches and pancakes. We tried the eggs Benedict, eggs shakshuka and cold coffee. Poached eggs on English muffins drizzled with hollandiase sauce, crispy perfect hashbrowns, grilled tomatoes, rocket leaves and smoked bacon. The hollandaise has an extra twinge of lemon juice which makes it super fresh, the poached eggs flow at the lightest touch. The ensemble is satiating and very tantalizing.
Eggs Shakshuka – poached eggs cooked with a spicy and flavoursome tomato-onion thick gravy, has browns, grilled tomato, garlic bread, butter and ketchup. The Mediterranean egg style is excellent. Their bread selection is super fresh and a win-win situation with their savory brekky options.
They source their coffee from the Indian Coffee House. We tried their cold coffee, it was pretty decent and they make it to your taste, so yayy to that.
PS – We had been meaning to visit Parallel for ages and when we finally did make it, it was beautiful, the minimal ambiance perfect for en early morning conversation, delectable brekky and caffeine options and a jaunty romantic vibe.
Their regular menu has some brilliant fusion options and their recent breakfast menu launch is making a lot of buzz already. I do hope they launch some mean waffles soon though.
