LIT is an upcoming property with quite a LIT experience. A very chic place with a well-stocked bar, grey swanky interiors and a huge window to let the sunshine in and convert this party place to a brunch one. One of the most memorable things about LIT was their menu which actually lights up when you open the menu. Their menu is very tastefully done with some exotic preparations and a sweeping cocktail menu to go along with it.
We started with some of their finest cocktails – cucumber and tea leaf infused GnT and a Jack Sparrow Old Fashioned. Their concoctions are bang on and they are pretty darn generous with their alcohol pour.
Chilly garlic prawns – steamed, perfectly cooked prawns, chilly and garlic infused with white wine beurre and topped with basil. The simple flavors of the prawns are delightfully fresh and summery. Smashed avocado toast – a crunchy toast with smashed, fresh avocado, topped with cilantro, lime, and cashew cream. The toast needed a little more seasoning.
We ordered a smoked chicken and jalapeno pizza and a hearty spinach and ricotta ravioli. Both turned out to be absolutely delicious. The pizza, although claiming to be Napoli style, was not the most authentic one. However, the slight crunch, fresh topping, and cheese tasted absolutely ravishing. The ravioli was so well rolled and cooked Al dente. Topped with a buttery sauce and lot of fresh parmesan cheese.
Desserts included a baked chocolate cheesecake and a molten chocolate cake. Both classics and super chocolatey. The molten chocolate cake had a gooey center of dark and white chocolate. The white chocolate honestly was a little off-putting. The baked cheesecake, on the other hand, was a satiating end to our meal.
Our experience food wise was excellent at LIT, although, they need to up their game when it comes to presentation and the overall vibe. I would highly recommend the ravioli and chilly garlic prawns for the sheer simplicity.
