Getting a taste of Irani food and mesmerized by the charm of old cafes, my second Irani Cafe in Pune was The Irani Cafe. With innumerable bakery items, kadak Irani chai, and the freshest bun and broon maska. This Irani Cafe was a special recommendation and I was so glad I got to visit this place. Classic red and white check tablecloth, no fuss menu and a strict list of rules – a characteristic of these gorgeous Irani Cafes.
We ordered a special Irani chai, cheesy omelette, Brun Maska, keema samosa, and raspberry soda. A fluffy omelette stuffed with lots of cheese making it a perfect and satiating breakfast option. The brun maska – a hard bun, cut and smeared with butter and jam is a very homely prep and is best gourmandized with chai. A puff pastry stuffed with toothsome chicken keema was by far the best keema samosa I have had, washed down with cool raspberry soda.
The Irani Cafe is a must, must visit when you are in Pune. The keema samosa and a local brand of Raspberry soda are a must have here.
