Food Exchange houses our huge spread with live counters and overlooks the greens on both sides. Choose your favourite spot and make your Saturdays interesting.
We started with an amazing salad spread – the chickpea salad and the chicken roulade which turned out pretty delectable with fresh olives.
The bread section is so, so fresh; the fresh cheesy dough was my favourite. Mix with some cheese and olive tapenade and thrown in some cold cuts for a cool sandwich.
Two of our favourite things at this brunch – the flavorsome pav bhaji. Oh yes, you read it right. This well cooked masaledar pav bhaji was just perfect with generously buttered pavs and lemon. The appam and chicken stew – crisp on the outside and the fluffy appam with its slight sweetness goes just right with the coconut milk chicken curry.
The achari fish tikka from the Indian grub is what stood out – well marinate and super fresh. The main course buffet had an Indian selection, Continental and Chinese. The mutton do pyaaza was tantalizing with succulent meat off the bone. The mushroom and corn bake remained rather untouched, but it was a hearty bite with the fresh breads. The Armenian addition of mutton keema with aromatic rice were rather interesting.
Desserts – you can choose from the Indian selection, mini pastries, tarts and custards. My favourite was the New York Cheesecake mini.
Food Exchange is right up your alley for killer pav bhaji and appams. They also have a live hot dog station and burger station. Also, mutton curry is amazing.
