I have time and again professed my love for breakfasts and breakfast places. Eggs, bacon, waffles and coffee – what could be a better start to the day. Bread and More has recently kickstarted a breakfast menu and it’s pretty kick-ass. They have kept it crisp with a bunch of eggs, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, sweet endings, coffee, shakes and thirst quenchers.
Tucked in N Block, this trés charmant café emits the perf French Cafe vibe. White brick walls, pretty over head lamps, fairy lights, huggable teddies, and all things pretty!
They didn’t have eggs which was a bummer so we went on to try the breakfast sandwiches and they were pretty good.
We started with Oreo shake and ginger ale. While the ginger ale was super refreshing the shake just let us down. It needs to be much thicker and much more flavorful.
Breakfast sandwiches – chicken tikka focaccia and Cuban chicken melt – each came with a side salad, extremely fresh mustard and ketchup. The Cuban chicken melt comes with well done chicken, chicken ham and a cheese slice and gives you a major throwback to the movie Chef. The chicken tikka although could use a tad more foul play with it’s authentic flavors and be more masaledar.
We sealed the deal with apple and cinnamon waffles dusted with castor sugar, almonds, chocolate sauce and ice cream. The waffles are stuffed with apples and they taste absolutely delish. The overload of chocolate makes it one helluva bite.
We also got to taste their red velvet cake jar, one of their best sellers and the mascarpone cheese they use is as good as it gets. Eat it super chilled though.
