Pinch of Spice, a perfect family dine in!

Pinch of spice has established itself in the Rajouri area away from the hustle and bustle of the Cafe’s in that area, It’s a perfect economical fine dine restaurant for families.

The big door opens to the huge restaurant with the bar in one corner, plush leather couches subtle décor with a feel of a fine dine experience.

The first up from the starters were, Honey Chilli Potato, Chilli Chicken, Drums of Heaven, Mutton Seekh kebab, Fish Tikka, Dhai ke Sholey and Paneer Tikka.
Honey Chilli Potato came first with thin sliced potatoes crispy fried to perfection and tossed with sweet chilli sauce, this one is towards the sweeter side so it’s better to order without honey. The Chilli chicken on the other hand was perfect, morsels of succulent chicken friend and tossed with bell peppers and spicy red sauce. They did go overboard with the plating though.

The Paneer Tikka presented on a sizzler plate was succulent and very flavorful but nothing special about it, the Fish Tikka on the other hand is a must order, the quality of the fish is amazing and so is the preparation!

Another must try in the Drums of heaven, these were so juicy that we ordered another portion of it!

Coming to the drinks, it was a dry day so there were no hard drinks or cocktails, mock tails were quite disappointing and so were the shakes, prefer sticking to beer here!

Then was the turn of the Mains, ordered their famous Dal Bukhara, Rogan Josh,Butter Chicken, Khumb Makai palak & Biryani.
Dal Bukhara, Pinch of spice’s version of Dal Makhini. This was a decent preparation with spices blending well with the dal and with subtle amounts of cream and butter.
The Butter Chicken didn’t taste like butter chicken, it lacked that little sweet and spicy flavor but it did taste good in itself, the gravy was mildly spicy with a good consistency.

The Rogan Josh was loved to the core, the perfect gravy with melt in the mouth pieces of lamb coming off the bone with the slightest touch. The Paneer was also amazing, with a spicy creamy gravy. The Khumb Makai Palak was a gamble at first but actually the combination of these three turned out to be quite nice!

We ended our meal with Phirnee and Sizzling Brownie, which was more like a cake and could be more gooey but never the less it was relished!
