Bikkgane Biryani by Biryani Paradise

Bikkgane Biryani by Biryani Paradise is the chain of restaurants in NCR serving fine preparations of Hyderabadi Biryani! For people having confusions, It is different from the Paradise Biryani originally in Hyderabad.
This décor is very calming, red brick walls with hanging frames and different types of seating available, a perfect place for a family outing.

We started off with Half portion of Paneer Tikka, Murg Lehsuni Tikka, Chicken 65 and Andhra Mutton Fry. These dishes are a combination of the iconic dishes down south and hot favorites here.
The paneer tikka with 4 pieces of tikka, decorated with a grilled vegetable on top, the marination was just about perfect the only thing was the food coloring used which made it look extremely red. Sprinkled with Chat Masala and served with onions this is a perfect vegetarian starter.

Next up the Murg Lehsuni Tikka, Succulent Juicy chicken with subtle flavors of garlic with each bite, a perfect Lehsuni Tikka so to say!

The chicken 65 was a slight disappointment, the flavors were spot on and well balanced but the bite sized pieces of chicken were harder and a tad bit chewy.

After the appetizers was the turn of curries, We ordered Andhra mutton curry & Chicken Kolhapuri, Both came dressed with chopped coriander and the mutton curry with a burnt red chilli on top. The Mutton curry isn’t like your home made curry, the consistency is far more than the home made and with the heavy infusion of spices, its actually very flavorful.

Chicken Kohlapuri was expected to have a spicy gravy but it wasn’t as spicy as expected, so it sways away the normal notions of the names of the dishes.

With this came the Lacha Parantha and Garlic Naan, it was surprising that they didn’t have Malabar Parantha though. Both the breads were perfect and even after going a bit cold they tasted just fine.
The Biryani came mid-way our meal with curries, 2 single portions of Kacche Ghost ki Biryani, and Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani served Salan and Raita. Onions and coriander topping the fragrant rice with a boiled egg on top made for a good presentation.

Bikkgane Biryani is famous for its Biryani and it doesn’t disappoint. While I won’t say this is the best biryani I’ve had this comes pretty close. The salan on the other hand wasn’t as spicy and could be improved further. The aromatic rice, the succulent meat come together in these fine preparations. The mutton Biryani had an edge over the Chicken Biryani here, with the succulent meat falling off the bone.
Last up was the Double ka Meetha, essentially a bread based sweet dish similar to Shahi Tudka, this one is extremely sweet and only people who can handle extremely sweet Indian sweets should try this one.
