(n). Pier – a raised structure in a water body traditionally used for trade between India and other countries, Persia being a chief ally.
(n). Pier38 – a kickass Cocktail bar at Cyberhub, bringing you a tad closer to Arabian and Lebanese cuisine.
You enter the place on a Pier and get transported into a world of rustic walls, old school playlist, laid back leather couches, peppy frames and graffiti. The extensive bar shells out some impeccable cocktails and their kitchen specialties can easily be spotted with a three tier mezze platter perched on almost every table.

The bar offers some excellent whips but I found solace in their mocktails. The lemongrass iced tea could have used a more profound lemongrass flavor but the Italian smooch was spot on.

Food Talk
Mezze platter – Veg and Meat
The mezze platter comes beautifully plated in three tiers with fresh pita, hummus, tzatziki and muhammara with green (falafel, cheese sambousek and potatokibeh) or meaty (lamb kibbeh, za’atar chicken and chicken cigar rolls) grub. The meats were very well marinated and super succulent. The falafel on the other hand felt just a tad dry.

Batata Harra – a rather simple dish, potatoes crispy oven baked and coated with oregano, paprika, lemon and pepper tossed with thinly sliced bell pepper. Crispy potatoes came without any fanfare and were rather refreshing.

Andhra Chicken Lollipop – juicy drumsticks, generously coated with spices from down South and tossed with a saucy masala and curry leaves. Very flavorsome and a great bar nibble.

Samak Mashwi – Sole cooked in Iranian style served with fresh hummus and tzatziki – well marinated but the fish should have been much more tender.

Palak Patta Chaat – Spinach leaves coated with besan and crispy fried, drizzled over with dahi, and imly ki chutney and spicy sev adding an extra crunch. The chaat was very toothsome and made for a hell of a fusion.

Kakori Kebab – Melt in your mouth succulent and juicy kebabs that break at the slightest touch. Laced with saffron and rose water, this preparation is right out of a royal Khansaama.

Pides – turkish pizzas – a gorgeously crafted boat like pizza stuffed with meat or veggies of your choice and dribbled over with liquid cheese and herbs. This fusion was absolutely marvelous especially the very well baked crust.

For mains we tried the chelo kebab, Mahiche and Chicken Tangine. All the mains came with a side of rice and salad. The gravies were impeccable, be it the sauce saffron tomato sauce of the Mahiche or the stew of chicken tangine. The meats although were quite tough for my taste.

Desserts – Nutella cigar rolls and Baklava with ice cream. Crispy fried flaky rolls stuffed with melted nutella. The Baklava was very sumptuous, a traditional Arabic dessert stuffed with loads of nuts. Dig into it with a bit of ice cream.
