LET’S FORK up some messy Chinese!

Food trucks are the next big thing and I personally find the concept absolutely ravishing. The idea of meals on wheels, literally, is pretty exciting. After Street Foods by Punjab Grill, spotted a second food truck parked in Dwarka. Located near KM Chowk, Sector 11, Let’s Fork is a white and red truck serving lip smacking Chinese and an assortment of North-Indian dishes.

This 4 month old truck was started by four friends – their philosophy being very simple – they wanted to serve good food at a price that wouldn’t pinch. They are operative from 2PM till 10PM, 7 days a week and also offer home delivery services.

We loved this place so much that have made 3 visits in the past week. We started off by steamed chicken momos and chilly chicken momos, veg spring rolls and over the course sampled their singapori chicken fried rice, lemon chicken, hakka noodles and chicken tawa biryani.

The steamed chicken momos are class apart! Fresh, thin skinned full of piping hot and most importantly, extremely fresh chicken. The momos were served with mayo which can be improved upon and a hot, garlic chutney which is prepared fresh and is very palatable.

The chilly chicken momos are dumplings tossed in a fiery sauce with garlic, capsicum and onions. The saucy momos are yet another exhibit of the many variations momos have gone through on Delhi streets (No complaints there though!) and certainly quite a delectable one.

The veg spring rolls were one of the best I have had in a long, long time. Served along with mayo and another hot fresh dip, the spring rolls were sprinkled over with chaat masala which added to that extra zing!

The lemon chicken was a slightly deceptive one – almost like chilly chicken topped with lemon flavours, this appetizer was be reinvented to a slightly less saucy version. But again, the chicken was so tender and juicy that we didn’t complain much.

The Singapori chicken fried rice was a mean preparation with crunchy rice, whole spices, chillies and chicken chunks. The flavours were subtle and very satiating.

Next we gorged on some of their best sellers. Their hakka noodles turned out to be perfect. Tossed with crunchy capsicum, onion and paneer, the noodles had a distinct vinegar and pepper flavour. And that’s it. No extra spices or sauces, it is as authentic as it gets and one of the best dishes that Let’s Fork offers.

Their chicken tawa biryani is another one of their specialities! Devoured with desi masalas, the biryani has two types of chicken – both very tender and succulent. The biryani is so aromatic that it makes you salivate and crave for more.
